He has great plans for you
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
He knows the number of hairs on your head
Luke 12:7 "...Even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not"
He cares about you
1 Peter 5:7 "...Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you"
He knows what you need
Matthew 6:8 - "...your Father knows what you need before you ask him"
He made a home for you in heaven
John 14:2 - "In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you."
He died for you
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
He loves you deeply
1 John 4:19 - "We love God, because He first loved us."
He wants you to know Him
Isaiah 55:6-7 - "Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near"
God is all about freedom and choice and won't force anyone to do anything.
Long before your time the first man and woman that walked this earth lived with God Himself in the Garden of Eden. Everything was perfect and everything they ever needed and wanted was freely theirs. There was no pain, no suffering, no hardship and they would live forever. The man and woman were warned not to eat the fruit from a tree called "the knowledge of good and evil" as it was deadly to them. Sadly they disobeyed God and did take and eat the fruit and sinned, bringing the curse of sin on all of mankind. They were warned against this by God Himself but instead chose to listen to lies about God from the Devil and sold out on the perfect path before them for the false promise of absolute power. Their disobedience brought the curse of sin on all mankind which meant many bad things including sickness, pain and death - but most of all it meant separation from God. God's plan from the start was to walk in the Garden of Eden with us, to live with us, for us to know Him and for us to have everything we ever needed. A good and perfect life with Him where we would live forever without pain, sickness and suffering. But mankind sadly chose otherwise and brought death to the entire human race.
God is perfect and cannot exist with sin because of His perfection so it meant that we became separated from Him. We are the offspring of Adam and Eve and because of their choice we also became separated from God by bloodline. We have all sinned and done wrong things - it's in our nature from birth - there's not anyone in this world that hasn't sinned.
The great news is that God had a plan for us to get back into relationship with Him.
He knew that we couldn't help ourselves or save ourselves so He sent someone to save us - His one and only sinless Son. He sent Him to earth as a baby that grew into the man called Jesus. God is a trinity - Father, Son and Holy Ghost. When Jesus came to earth He was God himself in the flesh. He came to teach us about God the Father and His ways - and ultimately to die for us and our wrongdoing and to make a bridge for us to get back to God and what He always planned right from the the start. Close relationship with God our Father. Jesus dying on the cross was the perfect and eternal sacrifice that allows us to get back to God our Father. Once and for all Jesus paid the ultimate price for everything. Past, present and future.
He wants to have a relationship with you that much that He would go to the extraordinary lengths of sending His one and only Son to pay the price for us. And yet, neither God or Jesus were the ones at fault. His amazing love complelled Him to do this for you. He did this to get back what He made - what belongs to Him - You. He knows who you are because He made you and you belong to Him. He only wants the best for you. He loves you more than you'll ever know or experience love on this earth. He made you the way you are - perfect. He gave you all of your passions, the things you love, your strengths, your skills - everything. Everything comes from Him. He sees you as the person you truly are, not your faults, not your actions - but the true you deep inside.
He already knows all about you. He wants you to know Him as your Father.
He wants you to know the truth. He wants you to know Him as your Creator. Your Saviour. Your Healer. Your Refuge. Your Deliverer. Your All. Call out to Him and He will hear and answer. He will literally rock your world. He's always ready to hear and always waiting for His kids to come home.
I suffered with extreme depression, attempted suicide, compulsive addiction to pornography for over 20 years, insomnia, self mutilation, massive rejection and abandomnent, no self worth, and an incredible hate for myself. I couldn't even look in the mirror for longer than 5 seconds without having to look away due to the immense pain that resided in me. I look back at photos of myself and can see the deep pain behind my eyes. The gaping hole that was never filled no matter how hard I tried. That immense vacuum of loneliness and pain that was always there day and night. I had a great life with so many good things in it but none of them filled that hole. Nothing fitted in the God shaped hole that was inside me.
I called out to Him and He saved me from all of these things.
He took away the pain. He reached into me and tore out the source of the loneliness and replaced it with a close relationship with Him. He poured His love into me where only pain existed. Now I know Him as my Father, my King, my Saviour, my Hero, my Guide, my Truth, my Lord and my God.
But He didn't stop there - He rewrote me.
He unlocked who I really was inside. The real me who He made that was hidden under layers and layers of lies and pain. He stripped away layer by layer exposing what needed to be removed. Now I love Him and love myself - because He loves me. Now I'm worthy - not because of anything I've done - but because He says I'm worthy. Now I belong to His family - because He adopted me and says I belong at His table. I belong with Him. The King of all Kings - and He invites me to sit at His table. He made me a son of the King. Royalty. He says all of this in a letter He wrote to us. The letter is called The Bible. I talk to Him all the time and He speaks to me and tells me great things.
Trust me, I called out to Him and He changed me forever. Even better, Trust in Him. He loves you and promises to never leave you.
Ready to take the leap?
In the bible there is a story about a jailor who has two prisoners in his prison called Paul and Silas. They loved God and knew Him but ended up in prison because they set a girl free from lies spoken over her. In spite of being wrongly imprisoned they started to thank God for who He is and shortly after God sent an earthquake that split the prison opening all of the prison doors. Most people would see this as their ticket to freedom but Paul and Silas stayed there in their prison knowing that if they left it would mean that the jailor would have been killed for not doing his job. The jailor was so effected by what happened he ran down and asked Paul and Silas why they didnt leave? why they cared about a hardened jailor's life? God revealed Himself so profoundly to the jailor that He asked "How can I have this? How can I know your God that does these things?" The answer is below...
And he (the jailor) brought them out and said,
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
So they (Paul and Silas) said,
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved,
you and your household.”

So if you want to know God, if you want Him to save you, to change you, to take away the pain and loneliness, to unlock you to what and who you really are - all you have to do is call out to Him and believe that Jesus came and died to be that bridge for you to get back to God. He was your sacrifice. He paid the price for your sin in full. You don't need to do anything apart from accept the truth and love from God. It's a gift to you. All because He loves you and wants you to be with Him.
Believe in Him and ask Him to save you and He guarentees that He will. He says it in The Bible.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"
Romans 10:13
He will do the rest after that. Let Him mold, move and recreate you. You won't lose your identity, instead you'll find out who you truly are.
He'll start renovating you into the person He sees you to be. The real you. The best of you. The you that He loves.
